Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Manager to lead our technical team and oversee the design and delivery of a new RC Frame Residential scheme in East London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Leading a multi-tower project and overseeing the technical team for design and delivery.
- Developing and managing a design programme in line with the specific technical delivery strategy.
- Ensuring project deliverables are met.
- Overseeing the development technical team and external consultants to ensure that consultant designs and technical inputs are completed on time, meeting the agreed standards and objectives.
- Monitoring the management of technical budgets on the project.
- Managing and maintaining excellent relationships with all consultants and statutory authorities, whilst working alongside the in-house team, including land, planning, estimating, commercial, and delivery teams.
- Working directly with the Sales and Marketing team to ensure customer needs are considered.
- Understanding the customer journey through the duration of projects and ensuring the technical team understands their role in the same.
- Assisting the delivery team in maintaining the reputation of the company for good quality of finish to all elements of the projects and achieving set objectives.
- Overseeing design approvals for all subcontract and supplier designs.
- Managing and monitoring the delivery of design information to the commercial team to allow procurement in line with project delivery programmes.
- Chairing and managing design team meetings.
- Appointing Design Consultants and managing consultant payments in line with company procedures.
- Having a thorough knowledge of building warranty, building regulation, and planning processes and ensuring that the technical team discharges all conditions to allow project completions in line with the delivery programme.
- Providing all reports in line with company and departmental procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with a residential developer on RC Frame scheme.
- Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of design procedures.
- Experienced in liaising effectively with consultants and subcontractors.
- Ability to report effectively to internal stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successfully managing time and costs.
- Proven delivery in achieving the highest standards of health, safety, environmental controls, and quality.
- Experience of working effectively with a multi-disciplinary team of consultants.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of between £85,000 - £95,000.
- Travel and bonus opportunities.
