Job Title: Commercial Director

VanRath is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Director to lead our client's operational and sales teams in delivering exceptional performance.

Job Purpose:

As a Commercial Director, you will be responsible for setting clear objectives and targets, monitoring progress, and supporting teams in achieving their goals. You will work to maximize efficiencies and operations in line with Key Performance and budget expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the ongoing development of the business through developing recruitment and attraction strategies in line with business needs
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships to support delivery of client projects/requirements
  • Create and present client presentations, bids, and proposals
  • Prepare and implement plans for new projects in line with company objectives
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the business meets its objectives
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients and play an integral role in the retention and development of existing and new business
  • Ensure compliance and contractual requirements are met, identify and highlight any gaps/risks, and put appropriate measures in place to eliminate them
  • Develop and control operational budgets to promote profitability and ensure the company has the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience at management level within a manpower or contracting environment
  • Tendering and Contract Negotiation experience is essential for this role
  • Driving accountability and delivering results through people
  • Managing people and performance
  • Demonstrable experience of customer relationship management
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability, continual improvement mindset, with experience of driving efficiency, savings, and growth
  • Good financial and business acumen with experience of managing budgets
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills to include contract negotiations
