Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD), or Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our expert multidisciplinary team in a Specialist Care Home located in Cardiff.

As a RMN, RNLD, or RGN, you will deliver compassionate, patient-centred care while maintaining the highest clinical standards. Your primary responsibility will be to assess residents' physical, psychological, and social needs, developing tailored care plans that cater to their individual requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in mental health care, particularly with challenging behaviours, and possess strong communication, administrative, and computer skills. You will also be expected to lead and supervise the multi-disciplinary team, including training, performance evaluation, and orientation of new staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Holistic Resident Assessment: Assess residents' physical, psychological, and social needs, considering lifestyle, gender, and background to develop tailored care plans.
  • Collaborative Care Plans: Work with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and involve patients and families to create effective care strategies.
  • Ongoing Care Evaluation: Continuously assess and improve care needs, updating care plans and records to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Health Communication: Provide clear explanations of how aging affects health and lifestyle, and offer guidance on maximising comfort, dignity, and independence.
