Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and empathetic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Wantage. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting children with special educational needs and have excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teaching staff to provide emotional support and help pupils reach their full potential
  • Use de-escalation techniques and personal care support when necessary
  • Help with everyday tasks and support learning activities

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to get one
