About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients to achieve their goals and improve their overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Occupational Therapist to deliver one-to-one interventions and group work
  • Develop and implement creative and practical activities to promote independence and emotional wellbeing
  • Support patients in achieving their goals and improving their overall quality of life
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 in Healthcare or relevant qualification
  • Competency in one or more leisure/creative/technical activity
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Occupational Therapy principles and practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
