Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Reaside Clinic, a male medium secure service providing care for individuals with challenging behaviors and a range of clinical needs.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will work as part of the Occupational Therapy Department, delivering one-to-one interventions and group work to promote independence and improve overall emotional wellbeing. The role requires practical and creative skills, as well as a good understanding of Occupational Therapy principles and practices.
About the RoleThe Occupational Therapy Assistant will be supported by the Occupational Therapist and will receive regular management supervision and clinical supervision. Training and development opportunities will be provided to support the development of the role.
Requirements- NVQ level 3 in Healthcare or relevant qualification
- Competency in one or more leisure/creative/technical activity
- Demonstrate an understanding of Occupational Therapy principles and practices
- Understand the broad principles of the person-centred recovery approach
