We are seeking an inspiring and empathetic secondary Principal Teacher of Pupil Support to join our team at Moffat Academy.
About the RoleThis is a part-time permanent position based at Moffat Academy - Secondary. As a Principal Teacher of Pupil Support, you will have a key day-to-day operational role, working closely with our team to nurture and support our young people, families, and community.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of effective universal and targeted support and holistic wellbeing strategies for all our young people.
- Have a deep understanding of GIRFEC and its application in a secondary school setting.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of whole-school initiatives, including LGBT+ and equalities work, UNCRC Rights Respecting Schools Award accreditation, Mentors in Violence Prevention, and the Relationships and Sexual Health Programme.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent experience of the highest standards to all learners.
We are looking for outstanding candidates with:
Proven leadership qualities and experience in secondary education.Commitment to very high standards of achievement.Registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) in the appropriate sector.What We OfferDumfries and Galloway Council offers a competitive salary and a significant relocation package of up to £ for the successful candidate (Permanent positions only).
