Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Teacher Support to join our team at Castle Douglas High School.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the school's pupil support services, ensuring that all students receive high-quality educational experiences and support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Curriculum for Excellence 2-18 and be able to demonstrate good leadership skills to deliver on improvement priorities.

They will also be committed to the vision, values, and core priorities in the development of education, teaching, and learning that meets the needs of all pupils.

The role will involve supporting and delivering high-quality educational experiences, contributing to the positive management of the school, and modelling the school's aims and values to maximise and recognise the attainment and achievement of all students.

The successful applicant will also be required to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) and undergo a Disclosure Scotland Check.

Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
