Job Title: Teacher of Pupil Support

Job Summary:

West Dunbartonshire Council is seeking a dedicated and committed Teacher of Pupil Support to join our team. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in sustaining school improvement and providing high-quality learning and teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with the Head Teacher and other education professionals to develop and implement effective pupil support strategies.
  2. Provide guidance and support to pupils, focusing on their individual needs and promoting their social, emotional, and academic well-being.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  4. Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures related to pupil support.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working with children and young people, particularly in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
