Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Pennine Care NHS FT. As an Occupational Therapist - Mental Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with severe and complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the occupational needs of patients and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver a range of evidence-based interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, to support patients in achieving their occupational goals.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Supervise and support junior staff and students to ensure the development of their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in risk assessment and formulation of risk management plans to ensure patient safety.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of occupational therapy services, including service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Substantial post-registration experience working in mental health services, with a focus on severe and complex mental health needs.
- Experience of working with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to care coordination.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, and other professionals, and to provide education and training as required.
- Computer literacy and ability to maintain accurate records.
