About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Pennine Care NHS FT. As an Occupational Therapist - Mental Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with serious mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the occupational needs of service users.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote recovery and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
  • Provide education and training to patients, carers, and staff on occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working in mental health services, preferably in a community setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices, including the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO).
