About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health Team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with individuals who experience severe and complex mental health needs, providing assessment, treatment, and review of service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out occupational therapy assessments and develop treatment plans to support individuals in achieving their goals.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide a comprehensive service to service users.
- Deliver a range of evidence-based interventions, including individual and group sessions, to support individuals in achieving their occupational goals.
- Supervise and support junior staff and students to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Contribute to the development of service policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with current best practice and legislation.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Substantial post-registration experience working in a mental health service, with a focus on severe and complex mental health needs.
- Experience of working with individuals who experience mental health difficulties, including those with a history of trauma and/or complex needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
