About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Engineer to join our team at BOC Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising, controlling, and maintaining our plants to ensure seamless customer service and meet agreed budget targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities at our main site and satellite locations to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Supervise BOC and contract personnel in accordance with Permit to Work requirements and actively support the sites' safety, health, environmental, and quality goals and targets.
  • Act as the senior person on site for plant emergencies and implement site emergency plans as needed.
  • Inspect and check all operating plant and machinery on a regular basis, diagnosing faults and providing feedback for rectification.
  • Participate in maintaining the sites' on-call system.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 (minimum) with a HNC (preferred) in an engineering discipline (Instrument/Electrical/Mechanical).
  • Several years of relevant practical working experience in a similar role.
  • Good base knowledge and understanding of industry and statutory standards and codes of practice.
  • Detailed knowledge of Permit to Work procedures.
  • Good understanding of current Health, Safety, and Environment legislation (NEBOSH certificate preferred but not essential).
  • Knowledge of operating chemical and process plant equipment.
  • Experience and ability to provide a high standard of customer service while working under pressure.
