About the Role

West London NHS Trust is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will be employed by West London NHS Trust and will be key in the development of pathways of care in the local community mental health team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver a range of brief interventions to patients with mental health needs.
  • Work across a range of community mental health settings and with a range of mental health diagnoses/needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local MINT Teams.
  • Supervise junior staff within own and/or other disciplines.

Requirements

  • Professional qualification in mental health - Mental Health Nursing (RMN) with current NMC registration.
  • Experience of post-qualifying work in psychiatry.
  • Knowledge of counselling skills/cognitive behavioural skills, psychosocial interventions.
  • Ability to interpret research and apply to practice.
