Academic Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to join our team in a Year 2 setting. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with young children, preferably in a classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the daily teaching of phonics to students
- Assist in small groups and one-to-one settings to foster student development in literacy and numeracy
- Collaborate with the class teacher to create a positive learning environment
- Manage classroom behavior and promote a safe, inclusive atmosphere
- Take initiative in supporting lesson preparation and classroom activities
- Demonstrate reliability and daily attendance
- Work closely with students who require additional support
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience working with children in a classroom setting
- A proactive attitude and genuine passion for supporting children's learning
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and reliability
- Candidate must have a valid DBS on the update service
