About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Healthcare Specialist to join our team at Capita Health Assessment Advisory Service. As a Functional Assessor, you will play a critical role in evaluating the health and well-being of individuals, providing recommendations to support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of individuals' health conditions and disabilities, using your clinical expertise to gather and analyze relevant information.
  • Develop comprehensive reports that provide clear and concise recommendations for decision-makers, ensuring that the needs of each individual are accurately reflected.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders to ensure that assessments are conducted in a fair and impartial manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices, applying this knowledge to inform your assessments and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant healthcare qualification (e.g., nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, or paramedicine) and be registered with a relevant UK regulatory body.
  • Have at least one year of post-registration experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of clinical assessment and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficient in using IT systems and Microsoft Office, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £38,500 per annum (pro rata for part-time) plus up to 5% training bonus, rising to £39,900 per annum (pro rata for part-time) on achievement of remote approved status plus up to 10% bonus.
  • 25 days' holiday (rising to 27 after 5 years) with the opportunity to buy extra leave (pro rata).
  • Annual professional registration fee reimbursed and supported revalidation.
