About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Healthcare Specialist to join our team at Capita Health Assessment Advisory Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare assessments to support the Department for Communities in making informed decisions about individuals' health and care needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' health conditions and disabilities to inform decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, stakeholders, and customers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest healthcare policies, guidelines, and best practices to ensure accurate and informed assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, and contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge, and maintain professional registration.
Requirements
  • Post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic.
  • Registration with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, or other) without restriction or conditions.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathize, and dig deeper.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and remote access systems.
  • A valid driving license or access to a form of transport to attend consultation centers.
What We Offer
  • A competitive basic salary of £38,500 plus up to 5% training bonus, rising to £39,900 on achievement of remote approved status plus up to 10% bonus.
  • 25 days' holiday (rising to 27 after 5 years) with the opportunity to buy extra leave.
  • Annual professional registration fee reimbursement and supported revalidation.
  • The opportunity to take a paid day out of the office, volunteering for our charity partners or a cause of your choice.
  • Company-matched pension, life assurance, a cycle-to-work scheme, 15 weeks' fully paid maternity, adoption, and shared parental leave, and paternity pay of two weeks.
