About the Role

Capita HAAS is seeking a skilled Healthcare Specialist to join our team. As a Healthcare Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and providing expert advice to support the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Communities (DfC) in making decisions about Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), and Universal Credit (UC) claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and gather evidence to support claims
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations to support decision-making
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and policy
Requirements
  • 1 year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic
  • Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, or other)
  • Excellent observational and communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly and produce reports in a timely manner
  • Experience with using IT and Microsoft Office
