SEND Specialist Tutor

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled SEND Specialist Tutor to deliver 1:1 tuition packages to young people with SEND in Solihull. The successful candidate will create and implement tailored lesson plans to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost attainment levels.
The Opportunity
As a SEND Specialist Tutor, you will work with children and young people who have struggled to stay in the classroom or feel anxious about attending school. Your aim will be to support and re-engage pupils in their learning, offer structure to their daily routine, and continue their educational development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver 1:1 tailored lesson plans to meet the needs of each pupil
- Work with pupils to identify and address gaps in their education
- Monitor and report on pupil progress
Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent
- UK classroom teaching experience
- PECS/Makaton training preferred but not essential
Contract Details:
- Location: Various locations across Solihull
- Position: SEND Specialist Tutor
- Type of work: Contract
- Duration: Until the pupil is able to reintegrate into a mainstream/special school
