Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team in the St Andrews area.

As a Care Assistant with Newcross, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team, working together to deliver high-quality care services that exceed our clients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and medication management.
  • Assisting with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and household chores.
  • Supporting clients with their mobility needs, including transfers and mobility aids.
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience in a care and support role within the past 3 years.
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
  • Knowledge of care equipment and handling techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
