Job Title: Freight Sales Executive

Streamline Search is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading freight and logistics company based in Tilbury. The company has been established for nearly 50 years and has a strong presence in the Southeast.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive Freight Sales Executive to join our client's busy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new sales, including FCL / LCL sea freight, air freight, and road freight, import and export.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source new business leads and act on those provided by Sales and Operations colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to increase sales and revenue.
  • Work flexibly, both in the office and out in the field, to meet the needs of clients and the business.
  • Ability to bring in own transferable business is a definite advantage.
  • Able to complete quotations with correct clauses.

Requirements:

  • Ideally at least 2 years' experience in selling sea, air, and road freight in a forwarding environment.
  • Experience in sales and development.
  • Good overall knowledge of the Global freight industry.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Strong telesales experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly personality.
  • Competent using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
