About the Job:

The University of Northampton is recruiting a mental health professional to support students in their academic journey. This part-time (28 hours per week) role involves working closely with students, staff, and external partners to deliver mental health support services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Counselling and Guidance: Provide individualised counselling and guidance to support students' mental health and wellbeing.
  • Assessment and Adjustment: Assess how students' mental health impacts their studies and recommend reasonable adjustments in partnership with students and in line with the Equality Act 2010.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the Counselling and Mental Health Team to develop and implement mental health promotion activities.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or BABCP accreditation.
  • Eligibility for Non – Medical Helper registration to deliver DSA funded support under the NMH Provider Quality Assurance Framework.

Salary and Working Arrangements:

The salary for this role is £45,000 per annum (based on experience). The post holder will work on campus 2 days a week and remotely 2 days a week.
