About the Role:

  • We are looking for someone who can provide leadership in curriculum area, guiding and mentoring colleagues to ensure the highest standards in teaching and learning.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in advanced research activities, contributing to the academic profile of ESL and staying at the forefront of developments in the field.
  • This role involves providing high-quality teaching and learning across a range of programs within a Higher Education setting, with a focus on Foundation year in computing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement program development plans, assessing colleagues' work and providing guidance to enhance quality of provision.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement strategies, playing a pivotal role in the continuous improvement of teaching and learning standards.
  • Foster collaborative initiatives with external stakeholders, industry partners, and employers to enhance the student experience.

Requirements:

  • A doctoral qualification in a relevant subject area (PhD in Computer Science or related field).
  • 4 years' experience in teaching at HE level in the UK (experience in similar courses at Higher Education level).
  • Master's degree in a relevant subject area (Min requirement for Lecturer).
  • Previous lecturing experience for similar courses at the Higher Education level.
  • Native speaker of English or, if not, have current IELTS 7.5 Academic Certification.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
