About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Editor-in-Chief for a new journal, BMJ Immunology.

As a respected clinician–researcher with a strong vision to establish the new journal, you will be responsible for developing its reach, impact, and influence internationally.

You should have stature in the field of immunology, a distinguished publication record, and essential editorial experience.

The ideal candidate will also possess international recognition and a high level of academic distinction.

  • A respected clinician–researcher with a strong track record of publications in immunology.
  • An established reputation in the field, with a clear understanding of the latest developments and trends.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively, and meeting deadlines.
What We Offer

In this independent contractor position, you can expect to spend around one day per week on journal-related activities.

You will receive editorial support and training, as well as an honorarium.

The term of office is five years, providing stability and security for the right candidate.
