Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Global Medical Affairs Lead with expertise in Immunology to join our team. As a key member of our medical affairs department, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and support for immunology products under development, from Phase 3 study through pre-launch, launch, and post-launch activities.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Working with medical and cross-functional colleagues to generate, disseminate, and educate medical experts and key stakeholders on data and scientific information.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Viatris to provide expertise as needed for medical discussions, including input into executive interactions.
  • Providing subject matter expertise in the assigned therapy area and assets, including clinical evidence, standard of care, unmet needs, and competitive intelligence.
  • Overseeing innovative product medical strategy, providing guidance, medical inputs, and consultation to address medical issues for innovative products.
  • Leading medical affairs engagement, interfacing with key functions, including Regulatory and Marketing, and owning the scientific planning process for innovative products.
  • Engaging in external collaborations to gain insights and facilitate the development of our innovative products, life cycle plans, and value maximization efforts.

You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful global health impact by developing diagnostic support tools to aid in the earlier and correct diagnosis of SLE patients, educating patient advocacy groups on new Tx modality, and driving insights from patient advocacy groups.

About Your Skills and Experience:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, skills, and experiences:

  • A Master's degree or equivalent required, with MD, Pharm D, or PhD in Immunology specialization preferred.
  • At least 8-10 years of portfolio/customer-facing experience required, with minimum 8 to 10 years of Therapeutic Area and Regional Leadership experience.
  • An understanding of disease area (Immunology - Lupus), healthcare pharmaceutical environment, global medical/commercial governance, and medical cross-functions.
  • Experience working in Matrix environments and proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English is required.

This role has flexibility to be based in the US or Europe, with domestic and international travel requirements.
