Furniture Installation Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Installation Specialist to join our team at Johnsons 1871. As a Furniture Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation of new furniture in various settings, including corporate offices, hotels, and warehouses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Furniture Installation: Safely move and install office furniture and other items in new premises or via storage.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with small to large teams to achieve installation goals.
  • Driving: Drive vehicles as entitlements allow to transport furniture and equipment.
  • Technical Skills: Conduct technical aspects of decommissioning and commissioning of furniture, and ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements.
  • Training and Development: Educate, train, and develop other team members in furniture installation, emphasizing best practice, quality, and standards.
  • Company Values: Promote company core standards and values, and assist in the management of external contractors during installation.
  • Property Protection: Ensure the furnishing of extensive property protection to ensure delivery of service levels.
  • Office Removals: Assist with office removals or relocations, and take goods into or out of storage.
Requirements:
  • Day-to-Day: Safely package items before removal or storage, wrap and protect furniture when required, take apart larger items of furniture for packing and removal, pack furniture, load them into your vehicle, and secure them safely.
  • Driving: Check that all goods are secure before driving off, and drive to the new location, unload the items, and install to scope.
