Your new roleIn this role, you will carry out various types of electrical work. Experience with industrial-type installations would be advantageous SWA cables and metallic containment systems.

​Carry out installation of electrical equipment from LV to 132kV. ​Working on the Scottish Power DNO Network ​Working on HV Private Networks ​Ability to panel wire to a high standard ​Install multi core cabling ​Install containment for electrical systems. ​

About youEssential qualifications/ skills/ experience

A thorough Understanding of Electrical Power System. ​

(preferred) Previous experience working on a DNO network/ HV private networks​

Good organisational skills ​

A hard-working, trust-worthy and self-motivated individual with a positive can-do attitude

Ability to work unsupervised, using own initiative and be able to work to set deadlines

Strong communication skills, able to liaise with colleagues and management

Desirable qualifications/ skills/ experience

Industry-recognised electrical qualifications ​

18th Edition regulations ​

Inspection testing qualifications preferred ​

Scottish Power authorisations desirable including: ​

SR-3/4 Receive & Clear PFW, LWC ​

WI-1 Work on isolating plant/apparatus including work adjacent to living apparatus ​

EN-1 Independent entry to substations with exposed live conductors
