Account Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Account Development Specialist to join our team in London. As an Account Development Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to upsell and upgrade, and supporting the renewal cycle.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and meetings.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and upgrade client accounts, working closely with Client Services and New Business teams to increase renewal rates by volume and value.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure highest standards of delivery and identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling to increase company revenue.
- Develop in-depth product, market, and sector knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.
- Deliver effective communications, adjusted depending on the product and audience.
- Update the CRM to accurately reflect sales activity throughout the buying stage, moving leads and opportunities to Closed Won or Closed Lost status.
- Ensure clients have signed contracts and orders are processed in accordance with GDPR regulations.
- Implement plans to maximise account management opportunities, developing sales to meet revenue targets.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, particularly a highly professional telephone manner.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve targets.
- International outlook.
- Ability to work to targets and showcase resilience in challenging situations.
- Role model organisational values, mentor, and develop/train junior members of the team.
- 1-2 years experience in a target-driven sales role, ideally telephone-based B2B sales or account management (desirable).
- Proven track record of sales performance and hitting targets.
- Knowledge of the legal sector or professional services is desirable.
