About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Loading Shovel Operative to join our team at SUEZ, a pioneering green business dedicated to improving the environment.
As a Loading Shovel Operative, you will play a crucial role in controlling, transferring, and stockpiling waste and recyclables at our busy material transfer station.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate mobile plant, including cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
- Manage traffic, such as guiding tipping vehicles.
- Co-operate directly with customers and members of the public, providing excellent customer service.
- Perform other duties as reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role, including undertaking first aider/fire safety duties on site.
Requirements
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is flexible, reliable, and able to work in a challenging environment. You will need:
- Operational experience is preferred but not required, as training will be given.
- The opportunity to undertake personal development to obtain skills for waste acceptance, maintenance of site equipment, infrastructure, and operation of site machinery.
- Prior waste/recycling or similar process environment highly advantageous.
- An excellent understanding and approach to health & safety.
- Good IT skills.
