Trainee Batching

**Trainee Batching and Concrete Plant Operative**

**Starting Salary: pension, paid holidays & bank holidays.**

**40 hours contract (with additional overtime as required).**

**Hours of Work**:
Hours will be varied. Standard hours of work will be Monday - Friday starting at 07;00am however flexibility to work overtime in the week starting earlier/finishing later.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- To effectively operate a batching plant to the standards required by the company using laid down procedures.
- To ensure the batching plant, yard and equipment are kept in a clean, tidy and checked condition and to maintain at all times.
- To maintain accurate materials/stock levels as required
- To ensure that all technical testing required for the production of concrete at the plant is carried out to the correct standards and timescales.
- Maintain records and learn compliance for BSI Audits and conduct BSI Audits for Plant.
- To learn and fully operate our cloud based shipping system and advise drivers of any notes on each delivery ticket.
- Any other duties, within reason and capability, as agreed through consultation with Company Director/Manager.
- Working knowledge of concrete production plant and materials would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
- Mechanical experience would be an advantage.
- Great communication skills.
- Ability to plan organize and prioritize own work load.
- Composure under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent IT Literacy.
- Strong customer focus.
