Collections & Trunking Coordinator

**Working hours**
This is a late starting backshift role with likely start time at 11am and finish time around 8.30pm Monday to Friday, with a 30 minute lunch break provided each day.
**Role Specific Responsibilities**
- Within multi user pallet network arranging collections of up to 300 pallets per day from multiple customers in Devon and Cornwall
- Liaise with our morning delivery planner to ensure resource is available to meet our customer collections volumes and collection times
- Liaising with our collection customers to ensure a seamless, quality on time collection service
- Organising daily and managing our evening warehouse transhipment team to enable efficient and on time loading of all our night trunks
- Based on daily volume, advise of trunking plan resource to both central Midlands hubs
- Ensure on time departure of hub trunks from our main depot in Launceston, Cornwall
- Provide out of hours management advice to night trunk drivers in case of accident or emergency
- Suggest cost and efficiency solutions to the senior leadership team to improve our collection, evening pallet transhipment and trunking operations
- Act as support vehicle and driver compliance to the Operations Manager
**What we need from you**
- Previous experience in a similar role in the logistics sector
- Methodical approach to work with strong attention to detail
- Highly organised and excellent time management
- Strong customer care skills
- Excellent geographical knowledge with driver and vehicle compliance
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- People management and people development skills
- Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office
**What we’d like to give you**
