Transport Planner

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join our friendly team. The key focus of this role will be delivery route planning.

**Working hours**

Monday to Friday 5am to 2.30pm. Option for Saturday overtime on rota basis

**Role Specific Responsibilities**
- Create efficient and compliant daily delivery plan to maximise the vehicle productivity of our Pall-Ex multi drop collection and delivery fleet
- Report daily the PPV across the full delivery operation
- Promote changes in operations to promote further efficiency or cost saving opportunities
- Liaise with the Collections (Input Customers) and Trunking Co-Ordinator to ensure that the delivery plan fully supports the customer collection plan each day
- Book - In deliver Customers where a booking - in service has been requested

**What we need from you**
- Previous experience in a similar role in the logistics sector
- Knowledge of transport-related legal requirements and regulations
- Sound knowledge of the geography of Devon and Cornwall to aid efficient vehicle planning
- Methodical approach to work with strong attention to detail
- Highly organised and excellent time management
- Strong customer care skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office
