Commercial Planner

Overview:
The Dawn Meats Group is one of Europe’s leading food processing companies and operates as Dunbia in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company who have a desire to produce better food naturally.

As a Commercial Planner you will be responsible for creating plans for factory production that take into account customer requirements, commercial profitability and operational capability. You will be supported in gaining a sound knowledge of the whole production process from primal butchery specifications and yields, product packaging and food safety requirements, through to transport post production.

**Responsibilities**:

- Completing timely production plans taking multiple factors into account
- Navigating both Excel and internal software systems
- Pre-empting both shortages and surplus production, communicating both to the sales team
- Building relationships across other departments and other sites regarding production schedules and changes
- Communicating with all the relevant sectors in the supply chain

Qualifications:

- Experience in production planning in some capacity is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided._
- Pro-active, and self-motivated individual
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, manage workload and prioritise tasks
- Flexible, with the capability to adapt to a dynamic working environment
