We are seeking a highly skilled Programme Development Lead to join our team in this exciting opportunity. As a key member of our Education department, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing a portfolio of programmes for our flagship charity, the Institute for Industrial Chemistry.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will have extensive operational programme management experience within the education or charitable sector, with a proven track record of delivering events and complex projects on time and on budget.
You will be responsible for developing the implementation and delivery plan for existing and new programmes, managing budgets, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop communications plans.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop programme policies and procedures in line with the Institute's guidelines and company operations.
- Manage the work of volunteers, freelancers, and interns contributing to the programmes, including training and recruitment cycles.
- Collaborate with the Communications Manager to develop communications plans that engage and build relevant content for social media channels and websites.
- Lead on the Festivals of Chemistry, Chemistry Club, Public Programmes, and Choose Chemistry Residential and Ambassadors Programme.
Key Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in a science subject, ideally chemistry.
- Extensive operational programme management experience within the education or charitable sector.
- Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and evaluating programmes.
- Experience of line-managing a team.
- Understanding of STEM and educational pathways at primary and secondary levels.
