Overview

Cadmus is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the delivery of programmes in the development sector, with a focus on international development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing programmes and a strong understanding of the role of the private sector in development. The Programme Manager will work closely with the Programme Director and the team to develop and implement programme strategies, manage programme budgets, and ensure programme deliverables are met on time and within budget.

About the Role

This is a key leadership role within the International Development Division of Cadmus. The Programme Manager will be responsible for the overall management of programmes, including programme design, implementation, and evaluation. The role will involve working with clients, stakeholders, and programme teams to ensure programme deliverables are met and that programmes are delivered to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Programme management: responsible for the overall management of programmes, including programme design, implementation, and evaluation.
• Programme budgeting: responsible for managing programme budgets, including forecasting, budgeting, and monitoring of resources.
• Programme deliverables: responsible for ensuring programme deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Programme teams: responsible for managing programme teams, including programme staff, consultants, and sub-contractors.
• Client engagement: responsible for working with clients to ensure programme deliverables are met and that programmes are delivered to a high standard.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Economic Development, International Development or a related field, and at least 5 years of progressive experience in programme management, preferably on international development/donor funded projects. The candidate will have a good understanding of the role of the private sector in development, experience of working in the Global South, and excellent report writing skills. The candidate will also have experience of managing programme budgets, programme teams, and client engagement. Additionally, the candidate will have outstanding English written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in French is an advantage.
