About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Specialist to join our team in Edinburgh. As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Writing solution designs for new developments and reviewing them with technical leads and architects.
  • Participating in client workshops and supporting business analysts in requirements analysis.
  • Developing and maintaining automated tests, quality assurance, and working with agile processes and ticketing platforms.

You will also have the opportunity to work closely with other teams, including product owners, business analysts, and software engineers.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Expert knowledge in at least one additional programming language.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of database technologies, such as SQL or Oracle PL/SQL.
  • A university degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

It would be beneficial if you have experience in the financial or banking industries, and German or French language skills.

The estimated salary for this role is between £60,000 and £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
