Role Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buying Manager to join our organization. This individual will be responsible for leading one of our buying teams, sourcing and buying key ranges within designated categories, and collaborating with the product merchandising team to ensure successful trading across various channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and delivery of specific category ranges designated to the team.
  • Generating ideas and proposals to positively impact promotions and trade plans.
  • Building and maintaining great supplier relationships and representing The Entertainer brand.
  • Supporting efficiency projects within the Commercial team.
  • Collaborating with the product merchandising team to maintain optimum stock levels across all trading channels.
  • Attending and supporting commercial team buying trips.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar commercial role, ideally within retail.
  • Previous frontline supplier-facing experience.
  • Commercially astute with a proven track record of leading negotiations to a successful conclusion.
  • A great people manager with experience managing, developing, and coaching a small team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to analyze detailed data.
  • Familiar with MS Office applications and good Excel skills.
