About the Role

As a key member of the statutory frontline service team, you will play a vital role in providing assistance to households who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

With the support of various teams based within the service, you will be able to deliver the best options for customers.

This role offers flexibility, with the option to work in a hybrid way, having an office base at different locations across Dorset and working from home at times.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assessing duties owed under the Housing Act 1996
  2. Providing expert advice on tenants' rights and occupation
  3. Evaluating benefit eligibility and assisting with claims where required
  4. Managing rent or mortgage arrears
  5. Developing strategies for debt management
  6. Supporting individuals at risk of violence or abuse
  7. Coordinating applications for social housing
  8. Negotiating accommodation in the private rented sector
