About the Role

Rendcomb College is committed to providing a high standard of health care and welfare support for our pupils. We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Worker to join our team, working closely with the school nurses to provide nursing care and first aid care to all members of the school community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and assistance to the registered nurses, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and general housekeeping duties within the medical centre.
  • Assist with nurse drop-in clinics, provide basic first aid advice, and signpost pupils and staff to counselling and health advice services as necessary.
  • Care for pupils admitted to the medical centre and maintain treatment room stock, hygiene, and tidiness.
Requirements:
  • A relevant qualification or experience in healthcare or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
