About This Role

We're seeking a skilled Digital Engineering Modeler to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK.

Job Description

This exciting opportunity involves working closely with Engineers and Senior Engineers at our National Records Group to achieve client and business goals. You will contribute to projects in a way that aligns with industry standards and processes, utilizing your expertise in Bentley MicroStation V8i.

  1. You will assist in the day-to-day running of the CAD department and circulate CAD standards and procedures to consultants, contractors, and suppliers for their compliance.
  2. You will manage systems for existing/new data files and records in a structured manner.
  3. You will produce and amend 3D Architectural models and 3D Signal drawings for both conceptual design and visual purposes.
  4. You will model point cloud data within Bentley MicroStation V8i.
  5. You will prepare CAD quality reports and other technical documentation as required.
  6. You will assist in the development of the Signal Sighting Virtual Reality Model.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant successful experience in 2D and 3D within Bentley MicroStation V8i.
  • The ability to model point cloud data using MicroStation V8i.
  • The ability to undertake CAD quality assurance and reporting.
  • An appreciation of all the life cycle stages of rail infrastructure.
