Job Description:

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at a Secondary School in Rawtenstall. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a Year 8 class, working closely with the class teacher to provide behaviour support and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in managing behaviour and providing a safe learning environment
  • Work with students to develop their social and emotional skills
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery
  • Provide one-to-one support to students as needed

Requirements:

  • Team Teach qualification desirable but not essential
  • Experience working with students with behavioural needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
