Job Summary

Sussex Premier Health, a private hospital under the East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, is seeking a Care Support Worker to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the inpatient ward, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care with excellent customer service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Participate in the multi-disciplinary team to provide safe and timely patient care.
  • Support the team in delivering appropriate care to patients with a wide range of specialities, including Urology, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, ENT, Max Fax, Ophthalmics, and Cosmetics.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths
    • Care Certificate
  • Desirable:
    • 5 GCSE grade 4 or C and above or equivalent
    • Evidence of mandatory and statutory essential training skills, such as Basic Life Support, manual handling, infection control, and fire safety
    • Education and training to NVQ level 3/Work-based diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Essential:
    • Relevant experience of working in a Health or Social Care environment delivering personal care
  • Desirable:
    • Relevant experience working in the NHS
