About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Thoracic Oncology Dietitian to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with a dedicated AHP thoracic oncology team in the outpatient service, delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to service improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage patients across the cancer pathway from diagnosis to rehabilitation, survivorship, and palliative care.
  • Work alongside a B4 oncology dietetic assistant to provide clinical support to thoracic oncology patients.
  • Provide supervisory support to a B6 dietitian and contribute to service improvement work.
  • Collaborate with the dietetic team across the South East London Cancer Alliance to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • Substantial clinical experience in oncology, with a minimum of one year's experience in cancer care.
  • Postgraduate training in behaviour change and motivational interviewing.
  • Sound clinical knowledge and experience of conducting audit and delivering research.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and achieve deadlines.
