Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Thoracic Oncology Dietitian to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with a dedicated AHP thoracic oncology team in the outpatient service, delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to service improvement projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage patients across the cancer pathway from diagnosis to rehabilitation, survivorship, and palliative care.
  • Work alongside a B4 oncology dietetic assistant to provide clinical support to thoracic oncology patients.
  • Provide supervisory support to a B6 dietitian and contribute to service improvement work.
  • Support the team lead dietitian with leadership responsibilities.
About the Role

The dietetic team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is highly respected within the haematology and oncology directorate. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic dietitian with excellent team working skills to join our friendly and forward-thinking team.

Requirements
  • Substantial clinical experience in oncology.
  • Previous experience at a senior level, including one year in cancer care.
  • Experience of training student dietitians and supervising junior staff.
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Previous experience of conducting audit and delivering research.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Presentation skills, with evidence of presentations to large groups of patients and staff.
  • Effective time management and change management skills.
  • Able to work under own initiative and achieve deadlines.
  • Ability to liaise with professionals at all levels.
