Submarine Chemistry Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Lab Technician to join our team at Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby.
As a key member of our team, you will support testing, analysis and reporting in the support of Core Production operations. Our team is responsible for designing and developing propulsion systems for the Royal Navy's nuclear submarine fleet.
We are looking for an individual with practical laboratory testing experience, scientific qualifications and proficiency in using Microsoft/Database Systems.
This role involves shift working, typically up to 3 shifts per week, covering mornings, afternoons and nights. Applicants must be UK nationals or have MoD-approved dual nationality due to security restrictions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing chemistry analysis and reporting;
- Supporting routine analysis of samples from Core Production operations;
- Assisting with producing risk and COSHH assessments;
- Carrying out general laboratory duties;
- Ensuring safe use and storage of chemicals.
Estimated Annual Salary: £38,000 - £48,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
