Deputy Children's Home Manager

Kingswood - Registered Residential Children's Home

We are seeking a Deputy Children's Home Manager to join our newly formed team in Kingswood, ensuring the service provided is effective at promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people.

About the Role

As a Deputy Manager, you will work alongside the Manager and have responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and management of the registered children's home. You will supervise and support staff to deliver what is needed to meet children and young people's needs, including managing complexity, risk or vulnerability.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience working with vulnerable populations. You will be responsible for evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness of our work for your home, adhering to Ofsted inspection frameworks and quality standards governing children's homes.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the young people's needs are recognised and met where possible, free from discrimination within the home and outside.
  • Support the manager and team to ensure a welcoming admission process for young people, reflecting the expectations of their care plan.
  • Maintain a safe and sensitive environment within the home, catering to individual and group needs.

We offer a competitive salary range of £29,000-£31,000, plus £65 per sleep-in shift. This role is an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth, with the potential for career advancement.
