Job Description

As a Governance Expert at Nationwide Building Society, you will play a crucial role in providing end-to-end governance advice and support to ensure the effective running of remediation and change initiatives. You will work closely with Delivery Managers and Delivery Leads to enable the smooth execution of projects, focusing on governance, risk management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide governance advice and support to project teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with projects, ensuring that risk management plans are in place and implemented.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that governance and risk management requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including risk and policy teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in governance, risk management, and compliance, ideally within a financial services institution.
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
