Lead Commercial Support to the Navy

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Government Commercial Function as the Head of Define, providing dedicated support to our customers in taking their concepts through early development and engaging with industry as needed to seek input/ideas, ensuring compliance with pre-market engagement requirements.

The postholder will support the Command in developing its acquisition pipeline for publication, considering factors such as category management, leading on industry engagement, and driving forward efficiencies on low value procurement through greater use of simplified routes to market.

This role will also involve supporting wider business input such as scrutiny and assurance, and working closely with the Navy Commercial Senior Leadership Team to deliver the highest standard of Commercial support to the Navy.

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial disciplines and be able to influence a more streamlined and effective approach to acquisition, embracing the opportunities of Procurement Reform and building on the many successes of the team to date.

This is a great opportunity to build on your existing skill set and grow with the support of the GCO, with a focus on delivering high-quality commercial support to the Navy.

As a member of the Navy Commercial Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading the Define function and working closely with the team to deliver commercial support to the Navy.

This role requires a high level of commercial acumen and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders to deliver commercial outcomes.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial disciplines and be able to apply this knowledge to deliver commercial support to the Navy.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of commercial expertise and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
