About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our diabetic eye screening team as a Diabetic Eye Screener. As a screener, you will be responsible for running local clinics for patients and photographing their eyes to assess for diabetic retinopathy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run local clinics for patients and photograph their eyes to assess for diabetic retinopathy
  • Provide empathetic and supportive care to patients
  • Work independently in a pressured environment
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and colleagues
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Requirements
  • Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs including grades A-C in English, Maths, and a Science subject or equivalent
  • A full driving licence and own transport
