Newton Colmore is a cutting-edge battery and energy storage technology company based in Cambridge, UK. We are currently seeking an exceptional Post-Doc Scientist to join our team.

About the Role

This is a 2-year fixed term contract with possibilities for future roles within the organisation. As a Post-doc Scientist, you will be responsible for developing the company's next generation energy storage materials and high-performance battery systems.

  • You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to maximise the performance of battery materials.
  • Your tasks will include establishing structure-property correlations and characterising their impact on battery performance.
  • You will also contribute to brainstorms, studies, and project meeting discussions, proposing novel materials and recommendations to solve chemical synthetic issues.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry and polymers, complemented by a PhD in Chemistry. In return for your hard work, we offer a highly competitive salary of approximately £40,000-£60,000 per year, plus a 10% signing bonus and benefits package.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with recent or upcoming PhD completion, but we are open to applicants with 1-2 years of experience in industry or as a post-doc.
